Preparing for Blood Test

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

All students must be high school graduates or have successfully earned a GED. Students will be asked to provide copies of their diploma or GED, photo ID, and another form of ID. If student doesn’t have a GED, placement tests may be administered depending on the training requested.

PREREQUISITE

All students enrolled in the Medical Assistant program must be vaccinated for Hepatitis B prior to beginning their externships. Students enrolled in the Certified Nurses Aide program must have a two step Mantoux prior to starting class. Some programs require a MMR vaccination and a physical.

COURSE OFFERINGS

This course is designed to prepare individual to work with the elderly in nursing homes. Course consists of 50 classroom and 40 clinical hours; this state approved course will prepare students for the NJ DHSS skill and written exam. We are approved by the New Jersey Department of Education/Dept. of Labor, the Department of Health and Senior Services.

Program Length: 90 hours; 5 weeks
Daytime classes: Monday – Thursday 9:00AM – 2:00PM
Evening classes: Monday – Thursday 4:30PM – 8:00PM

This course provides training in patient care in the home. Our Home Health Aide curriculum covers all competencies required by the board of Nursing of the State of New Jersey, i.e. basic human needs, the home environment prevention and safety, basic concepts of child and the elderly care, how to handle issues related to mental health, and terminally ill patients.

Upon completion of this course you will receive a certification from the New Jersey Board of Nursing.

Program Length: 76 hours; 4 weeks
Daytime classes: Monday – Thursday 9:00AM – 2:00PM
Evening classes: Monday – Thursday 6:00PM – 10:00PM
Weekend classes available

This course is designed to provide accelerated individuals with previous computer skills.
The classes give an opportunity to upgrade their skills by learning Medical Billing and Coding. Students will prepare for jobs in the Medical Office, Medical Diagnostic Centers, Hospitals, Clinics and various Insurance Facilities. This is recommended for those with experience in billing. Upon completion of this course you will receive a certificate in Medical Billing/Coding.

Daytime classes: Monday – Thursday 9:00AM – 2:00PM
Evening classes: Monday – Thursday 5:00PM – 9:00PM
